about
have you ever seen those beautifully designed, color-coordinated, beautiful journal pages?
perfectly straight lines. flawless layouts. not a cross-out or a smudge in sight. the kind of pages that make you want to open your notebook every five minutes to gaze at it and plan your entire life.
I wanted that. I tried again and again to make journaling a habit. I stuck with it for a while - then something happens, I get too busy and I end up not keeping up. then I felt guilty for not keeping up, and didn't want my journals to have a empty months in the middle.
then I switched and dabbled in digital tools to keep my life in check - online calendars, task managers, and various apps. nothing ever stuck. I would forget to check them, lose motivation, or feel disconnected from the process.
there's just something special about pen and paper.
there's something grounding about transferring the thoughts racing in my head and giving them a place to land.
there's something about holding onto a tangible item that I can look back on later.
and when I flip back to an old journal entry, I remember not just what I wrote—but how I felt, the pen I used, and even the environment I wrote it in.
so I returned to the original pen and paper method, but every time I tried to set up a calendar or a weekly plan, I hit the same wall—it was too time-consuming.
counting boxes to determine where the halfway mark is, then re-counting when I counted wrong, drawing wobbly lines, making mistakes… I spent more time setting up my planner than using it.
between work, family, appointments, and the general chaos of life, I needed something quick.
something flexible. something beautiful enough to keep me coming back.
I didn’t want another rigid planner system, or a preprinted planner, or an online one. I didn’t want to carry heavy books or lug a proprietary hole puncher, or bring print inserts.
I wanted one notebook, where I can have a space for my calendar, to-do list, grocery lists, meeting minutes, notes or random thoughts—all in one.
custom, portable, clean and aesthetic. but also quick to set up.
I wanted my journal to be as put together as my intentions.
I didn't want to spend hours to sketch a layout, draw perfectly straight boxes, mess up on my grid counting, or hand-letter every heading.
and then the idea came:
what if I used stickers to build the layout?
suddenly, it was faster. simpler. more fun.
who doesn't love stickers?
